I wanted to go from Trebinje to Mostar. Seems that people haven't had very good luck hitchhiking from the M6/M20 freeway intersection in south Trebinje. So I thought I would try this side, because the bus to Mostar goes through Bileća, Gacko, Nevesinje, then to Mostar -- in case hitchhiking was unsuccessful, I could switch to bus

This spot it right outside a gas station. I signed and thumbed. Waited for 30min before some electrician/repair guy exiting the gas station here picked me up and drove me to Bileća (they were going to Gacko, which I could've done but the way from Bileća to Mostar is more straightforward. You might need multiple rides from Gacko to Mostar)

Lots of local traffic here it seems

Great place if u want to head to Dubrovnik, less so if u want to head to Montenegro. On Friday, midday, we spend here more than 3hours waiting for a ride to Herzeg Novi, with a sign BUDVA/HERZEG NOVI. Lot of cars going to Dubrovnik, not so many cars going to Montenegro.

Wanted to go south, with a sign Trebinje. When we tried to stop a car at 8 p.m. we did not succeed even after 90 minutes. The next morning even tho the traffic was slihtly weaker, we managed to catch a car to Trebinje in some 30 minutes. Overall a great place for hitchhiking, lots of space for the drivers too see u and pull over.

Enough place to stop, some trees provide shadow.

So we tried it the next day also wait like 1 hour and then a nice lady took us to trebenje . All in all ok place if you pass by this village

Place is good, outside the city, its just that people don't want to take you to the border. We got a ride to Latsva (10km ahead) after more than 2m5 hrs, and from there we met a local who gave us a lift to the border. After the border gets easier.

Maybe I got really lucky but I get a ride to Niksic in 5min. Bus stop is good, I was worried about people willing to take me through border, but it was easy as I couldn't imagine.

That's very good spot to Trebinje. About 3-5pm there is a lot of people going back from work in Dubrovnik. This spot is also used by locals, there was like 4 guys hitchhiking, so I went down to Kaufland for some shopping, when I came back there were gone and I get a ride in about 10min. To get there I walked from Dubrovnik old town, there is an old road between the sea and main road. Quite long uphill walk, but views are amazing and spot for hitchhiking is worth it also.
